The Escondido Humane Society is having a "Home Sweet Home" celebration and Open House at the shelter, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. The Humane Society is celebrating the milestone of paying off the facility's mortgage. The event will feature facility tours, games for kids, food, microchip and vaccination clinic and no-cost adoptions for adult dogs and cats. The mission of the Through Kyle's Eyes Foundation is devoted to finding a cure for Retinoblastoma (Cancer of the Eyes) by sharing Kyle's story and inspiring others. Our son Kyle lost his left eye to this disease and nearly his life. Kyle now wants to do all he can to give back and possibly spare another child from losing their sight and or life.
